How we operate

One operating playbook for every company we own or partner with

Management, training, fractional CMO leadership, business development, and ownership. The same disciplines run our own companies and every partnership we take on.

The disciplines

What we bring to every company

01

Management and Training

We work alongside owners and leadership teams to install the operating cadence, accountability, and training that let a business grow without every decision routing through the founder.

02

Fractional CMO and Business Development

Senior marketing and business development leadership, measured against revenue. We build the channels, partnerships, and relationships that turn strong operators into growing companies.

03

Ownership and Capital

We build, acquire, and partner with businesses as owners, putting our own capital and operating team to work alongside the people who run them. We are owners, not advisers.

01 · Management

Leadership and operating cadence

Most growing companies outgrow the way they are run before they outgrow their market. We build the management layer alongside the owner: who owns what, how performance is reviewed, and how decisions get made without waiting on one person.

  • A weekly operating cadence with named owners and clear metrics
  • Reporting an owner, a partner, or a lender can read without translation
  • Organizational design as the company adds people and locations
  • Strategic planning tied to cash flow, not to a slide deck

02 · Training

People who can run what we build

Systems only work when the people running them are trained to. We design and deliver training for sales teams, front line staff, and new managers, and we measure whether it changed performance.

  • Sales leadership, coaching structure, and producer training
  • Front line and customer facing team training
  • Manager development for first time leaders
  • Performance measurement that shows whether training worked

03 · Fractional CMO leadership

Senior marketing leadership, part time

A fractional CMO is a senior marketing executive who works with a company part time, typically two to five days a month, and is accountable for marketing against the revenue number. We provide that leadership across our companies and partnerships: strategy, positioning, budget decisions, and direction of the team and agencies doing the work.

  • One revenue target that marketing is managed against
  • A 90 day plan with owners, KPIs, and a weekly cadence
  • Direction of in house marketers and outside agencies
  • Attribution and reporting tied to revenue

04 · Business development

Channels, partnerships, and relationships

Growth comes from more than advertising. We build the digital channels, strategic partnerships, referral relationships, and earned visibility that open new markets and keep a pipeline full, drawing on relationships across the whole group.

  • Websites and digital channels built to convert
  • Strategic partnerships and referral relationships
  • Public relations and earned visibility
  • Introductions across the group's network

05 · Ownership and capital

We invest as owners, not as advisers

A stronger business is the first goal; lasting value for its owners is the second. As a holding company, we put our own capital and operating team to work in businesses we build, acquire, or partner with, and through the real estate group now in formation, in real assets. We do not manage money for others or give investment advice.

  • Acquisitions and partnerships where operating experience adds clear value
  • Capital and operating support from the group, structured deal by deal
  • A long term ownership horizon
  • Real estate as a long term holding of the group

Working together

What a partnership looks like

We take on a small number of partnerships at a time so each one gets senior attention.

01

Confidential conversation

We learn the business, the owner's goals, and the constraint that matters most.

02

Assessment

Leadership, systems, team, and numbers, reviewed under NDA to find where the leverage is.

03

Proposed structure

A written proposal: acquisition, growth partnership, operating partnership, or venture.

04

Operate and review

Hands on work with a regular review cadence, adjusted to what the numbers show.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What is a fractional CMO?

A fractional CMO is a senior chief marketing officer who works with a company part time, usually two to five days a month, instead of as a full time hire. The role carries the same strategic ownership and revenue accountability at a fraction of the cost of a full time executive.

Do you need to own part of my business to work with me?

No. Operating partnerships provide management, training, and fractional CMO leadership with no change in ownership. Ownership structures are one option, not a requirement.

How does a partnership start?

With a confidential conversation. We learn where the business is, where the owner wants it to go, and what is in the way. If a partnership makes sense, we propose a structure in writing. If it does not, we say so.

Do you provide healthcare marketing services?

Healthcare marketing for medical practices is delivered by Healthcare Marketing by Velocity, our healthcare marketing agency, at healthcaremarketingbyvelocity.com.

Do you give investment or financial advice?

No. Velocity Revenue Partners is a holding company that invests its own capital as an owner. We are not a registered investment adviser or broker dealer, and owners should make financial decisions with their own licensed advisors.
